Television Production & Broadcast Media Applications

The creation of mobile, expandable trailers for television production and broadcast media requires a unique understanding of both the needs of the industry and the use of the trailers on-location.

Whether you need a mobile broadcast studio that can be elevated high above the ground for on-site commentary or an expandable production facility for editing, DRS Mobile Environmental Systems Co. can provide a completely customized solution to meet your needs. All trailers arrive pre-wired and with rack-ready capability for quick outfitting with your equipment.

Every DRS Mobile Environmental Systems Co. trailer is designed to be ultra-light, accommodating maximum equipment storage needs, and features air-ride suspension and air-ride 5th wheel capabilities. Multi-color painting and graphics, as well as custom designed interior finishes with acoustically treated wall, ceiling, floor, and duct coverings are also available.

Mobile Television Broadcast Trailer
The design and construction of Television trailers that allow large room areas to expand in and out take a lot of upfront thorough engineering that considers all cause and effect items such as structural integrity, room sizing for payload integration, proper cooling and power capacities. DRS Mobile Environmental Systems Co. takes all of this into account with every trailer that is built. DRS Mobile Environmental Systems Co. is the leader in the development of complex Television Production Trailers. Our trailers have proven to be the trailers of choice by all of the major Television Broadcasting Companies such as ABC, NBC, CBS, Nep, Sony, Turner, Harris, Bexel, Broadcast Sports Technology and WYES.

DRS Mobile Environmental Systems Co. incorporates composite materials and alloy materials that enable the trailers to be very light and durable.

All of our trailers have our own custom built ECU systems installed that satisfy severe cooling requirements. Our Air Conditioning Systems are lightweight and very durable for maximum cooling and quite operation. They can be set up two or four stage systems with standard thermostat controlling or optional PLC controlling features.

Broadcast Media Trailers

FOX Sports Broadcast Trailer
This special modified 53-foot trailer is dedicated for Fox/Nascar “Live” racing telebroadcast coverage. The rear portion of the trailer includes a 2 Ton power lift gate to load and unload the “Chapman” vehicle for side remote coverage capabilities. The remaining portion of the trailer incorporates electronic video and audio broadcast equipment.

WWF Television Production Trailer
This 53-foot expanding side trailer was manufactured for NEP in 2000 to assist in the production of their coverage of World Wrestling Federation (WWF) events. Like many of DRS Mobile Environmental Systems Co.'s expanding side television production trailers, this unit required custom design features. In this model, a 20 ton, four-stage environmental control unit (ECU) was specially designed, engineered, and built for this trailer.
